Alpha Centauri (with the expansion included) has appeared on GoG with several other games. (Conquest of the New World is great--one of the first Mac games I ever bought.)

Don't get too excited--it is a WINE port--but it works flawlessly (just a few minutes of testing, though. Movies and music/sound work flawlessly, and they didn't before in my GoG version running in crossover.

Fallout 2 as well! YES!

I guess they'll be doing more than DosBox stuff now because I believe their own game The Witcher had been the only WINE-based game until now.

The first Avernum games that came out recently are also WINE-based.

At least they have chosen games so far for this treatment, where the risk of such horrible failure as in the case of The Witcher is less likely...

Which is rather ironic considering that's one of the only companies that does Mac versions first.  Although the recent remake of Avernum 1 wouldn't require WINE.

Thank you to OP: I went over to GOG and they let me download the Mac version for free, having been purchased previously for the PC. Plays great, even the old crash when automating fighters seems fixed.

just as a heads up, you may not want to use your email address as your username in the future.

I can easily change your display name to "Yendis" or what ever you want and it won't change how you log in.  Just let me know.
