Hi, I just downloaded The Witcher 2 and am having difficulty getting it to run.
Every time I try to get it to open I get a message saying " No write access! Write access is denied to critical file '/volumes/The Witcher 2/The Witcher 2/Data/witcher2.vpfs'! Game cannot be started. Please ensure that the game has full access to folder  '/volumes/The Witcher 2/The Witcher 2/Data' and all its contents."

I'm really confused as to what to do to fix this! Any help would be very much appreciated!

Which store did you purchase it from? It will help to know which build package you have, and which store it came from will say.

it sounds like you're trying to run it from a disk image instead of copying the game over into your Applications folder and then running it from the Applications folder.

That is exactly what is sounds like to me.
