Feral Interactive has announced that Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition, the critically-acclaimed action adventure game, will be released for the Mac this November. Developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for consoles and PC, Batman: Arkham City GOTY will arrive on the Mac featuring all previously released downloadable content, including the Harley Quinn’s Revenge pack.

“Swooping above rooftops and using the grapnel to zip between buildings gives the player an incredible sense of freedom,” said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. “Arkham City is complex, sinister and surprising: the perfect playground for Batman.”

Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players flying through the expansive Arkham City – five times larger than the game world in Batman: Arkham Asylum – the new maximum security “home” for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.

Arkham City is a vast, open world, gothic metropolis hiding a deep assortment of side missions, secrets and puzzles that Batman will need all of his skills and gadgets to discover and solve. Along the way, players will use Batman's signature Free Flow™ combat system to square off against countless thugs and a nightmarish rogue's gallery including The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, The Penguin and Mr. Freeze.

The Harley Quinn’s Revenge mission, a standalone story set two weeks after the events of the main game, sends players back into Arkham City as both Batman and Robin. Players must utilize each of the characters' unique combat and investigative skills to uncover Harley's vengeful plan and shut the gates on the urban mega-prison forever. Additional DLC includes the Catwoman pack, in which players become Catwoman in a subplot that takes place alongside the main story, and the Nightwing and Robin bundle packs, which allow players to become Robin and Nightwing as they take on the game’s challenge mode.

Pricing and system information for Batman: Arkham City GOTY will be announced closer to the release date. A trailer for Batman: Arkham City GOTY is available now on Feral’s YouTube channel.

What I wonder is if we are going to get any of the Wii U exclusive content for it's Armored Edition like we got the PS3 exclusive Joker stuff in Arkham Asylum.

Absolutely awesome game that I highly recommend. Especially when you liked Arkham Asylum.

I have to admit, though, that I won't get the Mac version since I already got the game last year for the PS3 and thoroughly completed it there — except for the Harley Quinn DLC, but that is already waiting on my HDD.
