Cliff Johnson seems to have finally reached the finish line! The Fool and His Money (sequel to his classic and dastardly puzzle game Fools Errand) is due to ship in one month:

I preordered this thing back in 2003, and its original ship date has been pushed back from 2004 many times. But I loved Fools Errand and 3 in Three, so I never regretted that vote of confidence. I'm just glad I'm still alive to see the day. :-)
Getting excited!

But it is almost as long as StarCraft: Ghost's!

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

Unfortunately Cliff's decided not to do any third party distribution. Disappointing to say the least.

Glad you contacted him, Tuncer. That is a shame that he is limiting his distribution Although it's nice that he'll keep more of each sale, I don't see how he'll be able to reach a very large audience. Even companies like Popcap that have their own successful online store do better when they distribute their game through as many channels as possible.
I wonder if Cliff is maybe too old-school to be thinking about things like an iPad version, Kickstarter, Steam, MacGameStore... I suspect he also didn't send a press release to IMG News announcing the upcoming release. Though given the history of release dates he's given out, maybe that's just as well. :-)
Oh well, we can't tell him how to do his job, all we can do is cover the game once it comes out. And enjoy playing it once it's out, of course.

Those who pre-ordered have received their digital download today. I have mine. This thing is real!
Though if I can't get past the first few puzzles then Cliff might as well have released it a few years early, with only a few puzzles in it. :-)
For old times' sake I'm going to try and get as far as i can without hints. Too bad I can't hunker down with it for hours on end like I did for Fools Errand and 3 In Three. And my attention span isn't what it used to be. So we'll see...
