Indie Space simulation game, feels sorta like your the commander in Star Trek or something. Only costs a few dollars. Completely randomized gameplay, play through take anywhere from minutes to hours, depending on how long you last in space.
Insanely fun, I play this game all the time in my spare time, even ahead of dota and guild wars 2. Infinite replay value.
Faster then Light review
edit: this should probably be in the simulators category I guess
Faster then Light - amazing indie game.

Haven't played it, but I saw this on sale on GOG like a week ago, and have been hearing good things. If it's got a Mac version I may well pick that up.
Roger that! Moving.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

It's got Steamplay enabled for Mac play on Steam.
Unfortunately it's not on the Mac Game Store

It's superb, if you ask me.
The only problem I have with it is that the saves aren't Steam Clouded.

It's a roguelike in space, so it should be in RPG/adventure. But it doesn't really matter.
I'm having a lot of fun with it. I only wish there were a lot more encounters; it can get a bit repetitive seeing the same ones over and over.
It's hard as hell, but I've never had so much fun dying before.

Not having to wait for Steam to load is always a plus.
