Excalibur Publishing has released a new trailer for the upcoming Circus World management simulation. In the games players take over a rundown circus and must work to transform it into a world class attraction. To succeed they will need to hire staff, craft performances, and upgrade their attractions.

As the release of Circus World draws ever closer the performers are limbering up and preparing their routines. With 43 acts for the player to hire, the circus is abuzz with activity. The human cannonball is polishing his hard hat, the blindfolded knife-thrower is training his 15th assistant this year (and is hoping for a better aim) whilst the trapeze artist is a real swinger!

Featuring:

  • 43 Acts for the player to hire
  • Compete for the best acts against A.I. circuses who aim to poach your performers
  • Set the contract period for your performers, keep hold of the skilled and dump the disasters!
  • Acts will level up with experience, increasing their performance quality and contract value
  • Structure the daily performance to showcase your brightest stars, increasing audience appreciation and revenue
  • Taskmasters who work their performers too hard will find their staff suffering exhaustion, whilst under using performers leads to sloppy performances.
Captivate the crowds and profit from performances, motivating your eclectic ensemble, to entertain in an extravaganza of exuberant energy!

More about Circus World:

Take over a dilapidated ailing circus and work towards transforming it into a premier world class attraction. Your circus has been badly neglected by its previous owner and has been sold to you for a song, but it is not yet singing to your tune!

Hire staff and craft your own performances. As your reputation grows, so will your income. Will you upgrade your tent or invest in more skilled performers or will you purchase amenities such as refreshment stalls and gift shops for your audiences?

Using custom artificial intelligence specially created for Circus World - the "Appreciation Engine"  you can monitor your audience.- The Appreciation engine drives spectator appreciation. If your acts are poor, audience appreciation will be low. If your acts are well received, appreciation will be high. The Appreciation Engine also includes custom facial animations for each spectator, from frowning to smiling, to bewildered to disinterested and body animations such as bored fidgeting or appreciative clapping. In short, the Appreciation Engine brings the audience to life as an indicator of the success of the show. Only a skilled showman will keep the audience enthralled and the dollars rolling into the bank!

The Circus comes to life in full first person 3D, allowing you to explore the circus and its surroundings and view your show from a privileged ringside position. Featuring over 30 types of performer, from jugglers, to clowns, to the high wire act, to bareback horse riders, to elephants and tigers and much more. Each performer is animated in full 3D with literally hundreds of custom animations.

Managing your circus has never been so realistic or so much fun! Will you travel the globe with an awesome attraction or end up clowning around in a field with a tattered tent?

Only the best showmanship skills will sow the seeds of success!
