Telltale Games has released the Mac and Windows versions of Long Road Ahead, the third episode in The Walking Dead series. Based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Long Road Ahead continues the story of the survivors, uniquely tailored to the choices made in earlier episodes.

The Walking Dead is set in the world of Robert Kirkman's award-winning comic book series. Lee Everett, a man convicted of a crime of passion, has been given the chance for redemption in a world devastated by the undead. Players experience life changing events, meet new characters and familiar ones from the original comic, and also visit locations that foreshadow the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes. The Walking Dead offers a tailored game experience - player actions, choices, and decisions affect how the story plays out across the entire series.

In the most emotionally gripping episode of the series to date, players will again see how the choices they made in previous episodes have affected their version of the tailored story experience set in the morally gray world of an undead apocalypse.

The Walking Dead: Episode Three - Long Road Ahead is rated 'M' (Mature) for Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, and Strong Language by the ESRB.

IMG has received a few emails from users having trouble downloading the second and now third episodes of the game. Hopefully Telltale will fix the issue for those having difficulty.

I guess there's non steam versions of the game. I downloaded episode 3 today through Steam just fine.

Trying to download directly from telltale games does not work for a number of users.  I think most have given up or moved to steam which apparently does work.  But why should I have to shell out more to get it on steam when I have already paid for it from tell tale.

Still have not been able to download episode 3 after more than a month and tell tale is doing nothing to fix this.

There was a newer version released, but that fails as well.

I would not give them my money in the future.

A volunteer has updated the thread on the tell tale site with a workaround that now works. See here:

http://www.telltaleg...ead.php?t=33233

It is unofficial, and I had to apply it twice to get it to work, but it does seem to work.

I don't know why Tell Tale could not have done this 2 months ago and saved themselves a lot of badwill.

Same reason the Mac versions of Sam & Max Season 1 and Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures have been "coming soon" since 2010, I guess.
