Rob, I've never gotten tired of drooling over new equipment thanks to your benchmarks. Although I don't drool quite as much as I used to when it was over your G3 upgrade benchmarks while wishing for a MaxPowr G3 to stick in my S900 back in the day.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

Even the old 8800 GT can still play most games on high settings. Until the new generation of consoles come out there's really no need to upgrade one's GPU.

It's kinda a sad fact.

Oh of course. In the saving money regard. I meant kinda a sad fact that graphics are being so held back by the current gen of consoles. Crysis from 2007 was a game designed to be at the peak of graphics technology for that year. That was 5 years ago. That game looks far and beyond better then anything you will ever find on Xbox or PS. We'd have games that put Crysis to shame graphically if the consoles weren't so behind in tech.

And the rumors for the next gen of consoles don't look good at all. Mediocre components. My current gaming computer already appears to be ahead of the next gen consoles. When the 360 and PS3 came out they used the absolute best GPU's available, and really good CPU's. Now we have the next gen consoles coming out the mid range graphics and mid range CPU's. The graphics won't really get any better. Consoles will just be able to play their games at 1080p finally.

Yeah, if the latest rounds of rumors are true, the 8th gen is gonna be... well... popsnizzle.

Here's hoping they're wrong and the 16-core PPC with Kepler graphics on the next Xbox rings true, and PS4 follows suit. If not, well, Apple's got that new pro tower coming FY2013, and BootCamp's never sounded better. Hell, maybe with Steve Jobs gone Apple will stop alternating between hating on games and neglecting games for real this time too. That would be great.
