An IMG reader has alerted us to a recent addition to Feral Interactive's Facebook page. The posting offers details about support for various gamepad controllers, and help for those trying to use a gamepad with one of Feral's titles.

We have the ability to add new gamepads to the supported list without requiring a patch using our plugin system, when we release a new game we often get a spurt of new requests, today has been a retro console day. We added support for a Playstation 1 gamepad and a SNES replica pad for two customers!

This now means you can now use the following console pads in our games:
  • Playstation 3 Sixaxis
  • Playstation 2
  • Playstation 1
  • XBox
  • Xbox 360
  • Gamecube
  • SNES
(Many of these pads require special USB adapters)
So remember if you can get a gamepad to appear on the USB bus we can try and get it supported in our games, just email padsupport @ feralinteractive . com for any of your pad support related enquires. If it's feasible to get it working we will get it working.

Now that's how you do gamepad support, none of this "Xbox360 gamepad only" nonsense that some games do.

Feral has far exceeded the greatness off all the Mac gaming companies both past and present.
