Didn't tBC slice off some of teflon's posts to cut him down to size a while back, too, or he'd be even higher? Or am I thinking of the Late Great Spammer Space_Pirate_Killer?

Wonder what happened to him anyway. Him, Lord Brixton, Tomatocow, Batcat... not all the oldies from when I joined are still around.

Apparently, the oldest account here is owned by FrigidMan. It is strange that his account is also the only one from the year 2000. Back in those times he posted and responded to everything himself until the year 2001. :P

Seriously though, just look at the numbers.

Sadly Eric, I believe either tBC or IMG news wins. …like tBC's numerical reputation value, I am sure his actual number of posts is completely correct and not at all fraudulent. :P

The post number is accurate but I bumped my reputation to 1,000 when we first got reputations.  Because.  I.  Could.  In my post smurfette defense, being an admin requires one to post a lot more than usual (same thing happened to Whaleman), but other than that... yeah, total post smurfette here.

You are thinking of Space_Pirate_Killer.  I think I wound up shaving 1000 posts off of his count.  50 every time he started flooding the forums or so he could see his name on every thread in the forum index and bump his count.  I seriously thought of eliminating the post count because that was pretty much what was driving it.  Tomatocow has his own forums and SPK is over there now with a post count of 77 brazilian brazilian.

My joke must have not been conveyed correctly. I didn't think you (tBC) would have been doing any shennanigans with your post count*; as I do see you post the most here.

*That however is not inclusive of anything else tBC may do with a slab of root beer, Teflon's beach cottage, and a bunch of Marathon themed cosplay girls.

I just posted to say, "Congratulations!" to Diablofett.

And to bump my total number of posts.

And to point out that I'm the oldest forum member (with respect to the date I joined the forum) who has posted here THUS FAR.  So, all of you, get off my lawn and turn that thing down.  <shakes cane>  Things were just fine when it was me and Frigidman spinning yarns about our years at sea.  Little did we know that spinning so much yarn was bound to attract the likes of tBC. :)

Edited to account for smart-alecky members whose forum membership predates my own.

Man, those were the days.  I'd rush home from work to dial up the new fangled thing called internet on my roaring 14.4K modem and spend a couple hours romping in alt.games.marathon with totally awesome hardcore men.  Real men, with sweaty necks and hairy nipples, not the coiffed girly men you find on the internet these days.  We would bite down on leather and smash our faces into the keyboard while howling "Frog blast the vent core".  OK, maybe that was just me.  But still, it was the wild west of the internet, where justice was swift and death was no farther than the pearl grips of your .45 cal peace maker.

Psh, 14.4K.

I started out using a 2400 baud modem with an Apple logo on it that had to transmit data uphill both ways! It was worth it to argue furiously about guns with Borzz in the middle of the night after the Marathon chatter had died down though.

14.4K = 2400 baud you intertube no0b.  But that was later when I was rip roaring at agm.  Originally we had a 600 baud modem given to me by my work.  We would telnet into my wife's university internet connection and use UNIX commands, archies and gophers to access the internet.  It was very hit and miss as to what you could find, there were no search engines.  When the WWW and Mosaic burst on the scene our heads exploded.  Our computer didn't have it, but my wife's computer did.  The first thing I did was to go to bungie.com.  It was their first attempt at a web page and it took forever to load because it was full of new fangled animated GIFs.  It was pretty cool to see a Hunter running in place, and was worth the wait.  And the crash or two.  By the time I was at agm I had netscape navigator, a 2400 baud modem and a PowerPC.  At least that's the way I remember it.

And I had that argument with Borzz too.  He was totally anti-gun and made up these whacky stories such as people cleaning their guns at work while sitting around eating lunch.
