I don't quite know which subforum this goes in.  I mean, it was a racing game, yes.  But...

Bwahahahaha.   :)   Who else loved this one at LAN parties back in college?

I'll wait to see the style they choose, before I pledge.. And no Mac version confirmed just yet.

And now, time for some Legend of Zelda.

God I loved the first game of this (and the 2nd also).  I was young, so maybe I was easily impressed, but I had soooooo much fun playing levels over and over again and just absolutely demolishing people/buildings/cars.  The physics were incredible for the time.  I thought the graphics were quite good also - but looking back at that video maybe they weren't so good.  I remember them looking much better on a 3dfx card...

Ah, they should have written that in their pledge levels.

Following the trend, let me be the first to say "there is no way they'll reach that 600k target." That seems to be the best way to make these things happen. It's like a challenge to the Kickstarter gods or something. Fingers crossed.

Well they are $6,500 over the 400k mark. I certainly hope for a mac version, but I've pledged regardless and will play it in Bootcamp if need be.

Good "news", apparently they hit the 600k mark! Been playing cider versions of Carmageddon 1 & 2 lately, but they were more fun the first time around all those years ago. Can't wait for an updated version!

From the Carmageddon forums:

"What a month what a month!
It's finally over!
Amazingly, the project managed to reach 600.000 and an extra of 25.000 just in the last day!
Congratulations for this achievement and I sure fraking hope you guys make a great game now!
Cheers and can't wait to see some screenshots and teasers that you guys consider to be worth showing!"

Yeah, the money went through a few months back already. Now just to wait for them to actually complete and release the game.
