Just saw on Steam that the Mac version is now available. Just in case you hadn't been following their advertising campaign :-

- there's a whole series of them :)

Downside is it's a bit expensive still .. so I'll be waiting for some kind of sale.

Their other latest games have Mac ports as well, though I haven't played them.

Anyways, in case anyone sees this--it's $10 on Amazon today. There's also a paradox bundle for $2.50 more, though the other games are Windows only. You'll get a Steamable code.

I bought it just to try outthis Game of Thrones mod, though the game looks pretty neat as well. :)

CK2 is incredible.  It's the best Paradox game yet, IMO.

Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam

While I'm not fond of the title, as [I believe] it reinforces the stereotype that said religion was spread by force, they include an interesting statement in quotation marks ending the description;

The Ummah* is under attack. All true Muslims must be charitable in peace  and relentless in Jihad°. Let the Sword of Islam fall upon the infidels  that threaten our lands, our faith!

I might check this computer board game out after all...

*The [borderless] nation [consisting] of the peoples whom consider themselves Muslim.

°Literally means struggle. Practicing the religion of Islam is the constant struggle against the self, first and foremost. Herein (regarding Jihad) the applicable situation(s) where the struggle is during war time is small—if ever. The transliteration "harb" is the Arabic term for war, there is no term for Holy War because there's no such thing as a "Holy" war. The Islamic viewpoint regarding war; 1. Muslims are never allowed to be the aggressor in a war (this is considered a ticket to Hell) and 2. fighting is prescribed against those whom first waged war against you and practice tumult and oppression when given the upper hand.

I bought this and the music add-on yesterday. Trying to finish a Civ5 game right now.

Paradox really has driven the DLC trend to new ridiculous heights with this game. Unit graphics, family crests for the factions and frigging in-game music as paid DLC? Seriously? What's next? The letter "A"?

I guess they were planning on not working for awhile... so create a cash cow?
