Iceberg Interactive and Finnish developer Kukouri Mobile Entertainment have announced today that the full 3D squad-based action game Tiny Troopers is coming to Mac and Windows PCs in the third quarter of 2012. The game puts players in command of a team of small soldiers in 30 missions with objectives that range from destroying enemy formations to rescuing hostages and assassinating enemy generals.

“Tiny Troopers started as a mobile game but it soon grew in scope so much that we wanted to create PC and Mac versions too. Heavily targeting the digital market, Iceberg Interactive is the top publisher in that field. With their connections and close relationship with all the big digital channels but also the smaller ones, they are the best publisher in bringing Tiny Troopers to PC and Mac markets,” says Kim Soares, CEO of Kukouri.

Raymond Snippe, Business Development Director at Iceberg Interactive says: "We are very excited to be publishing Tiny Troopers on PC and Mac and are looking forward to deepening our relationship with Kukouri. Tiny Troopers is a Full 3D, squad-based action-game in a comic style that will appeal to a broad audience. The graphics are cute, the gameplay super addictive, challenging and humorous. War-game fans are in for a real treat!”

About Tiny Troopers:

Give war a chance!

Lead a team of tiny soldiers on a modern battlefield, fighting some nameless but familiar war.

Tiny Troopers puts you in command of a team of small soldiers. Guide them through 30 deadly missions with varied objectives: destroy enemy armored formations, save hostages and eliminate enemy generals to name but just a few.

Your troopers will face enemy infantry, snipers, technical’s and even tanks. Casualty rate is going to be high but there's endless supply of fresh recruits to step up to fill the ranks. Those lucky troopers who survive from mission to mission will be promoted and each new stripe they gain makes them tougher.

To increase their chances of survival, use Command Points to give them better equipment, reinforce their team with a specialist like machine gunner, medic or delta force and call in support drops during missions. War might be hell but this is the funniest way to fight in one!

Key features:
  • The safe way to fight in a war: you won't end up in a body bag.
  • Lead your troopers in 30 deadly missions with varied objectives.
  • Face enemies from infantry to snipers and tanks.
  • Reinforce your squad with specialists like machine gunner, medic and delta force.
  • Keep your troopers alive: they get better after each new rank they gain.
  • War is hell but it can also be fun!

Looks interesting. Would need to see some video or a demo on how this actually plays.

I approve of them targeting “digital” and salute their rise to the top publisher in that vast arena!

Analog games are just not where it’s at. Seems like everything’s going computer nowadays.
