Or maybe, just maybe, it will be an entirely new game in the Baldur's Gate franchise? We don't know, and when we quizzed Trent about it, all he'd say is:

That "complete edition" he mentions was already sleuthed last week, so apparently this is something totally different. To add to the mystery, there are comments left for us in the teaser site's source page:

I loved the Baldur's Gate games back in the day. If they made more Infinity Engine games, I would be a buyer if they were decent. The Baldur's Gate series had a good close, I would rather see a new Icewind Dale myself. A new infinity engine series altogether would not be bad either. Maybe something set in Cormyr or some other area of Faerun that has not been explored my games as of yet.

A working infinity engine on Mac would be awesome... I run it in Cider, and it explodes no matter what resolution I use on my 27" iMac..

There are ways to make those games play on iPad already. Supposedly they run quite well at that. I do not have instructions for doing so, but I am sure a quick Google search will yield something. Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 are said to work on iPads as well.
