I just published our February Gamer of the Month article on the VP blog.  It's Eric Haines, better known around here as Eric5h5.

Congrats Eric! Once again, great article. Keep them coming until we have exhausted all of IMGs worthy members.

…so that will have to exclude tBC and me.

Well...I don't think they've done Frost yet.  ;)

tBC never qualified anyway. It's Gamer of the Month, not Grumpy Old "Give Me Marathon or Give Me Death!" Man of the Month.

Ah, I see our exclusive circle gets bigger. Welcome! We will teach you our secret handshake in private, without the prying eyes of the non-selected riffraff. ;)

I see your Mac gaming career also started out with Shapeshifter on an Amiga?

Fusion.  Shapeshifter was a bit flaky by comparison.

To be honest the article only took me about 1-2 minutes to read. Not to diminish Eric's glory, but anyone who takes 15 minutes to read that piece has issues. Or maybe just eyesight problems? I don't know.

And no picture of the man? Suspicious. How do we know you're not just some Turing bot, or some body part on Chatroulette? Huh?

If you never saw the light of day living in your parent's basement and ate only pizza, Cheetos and Mountain Dew while sitting in front of your computer all day you wouldn't want your picture taken either.  He probably looks like Jabba the Hut's fat sister.

It's Brad's fault; he put the article up before I could respond.  ;)  (And gave me a chance to add a picture later, but see below.)

The truth is that I don't want to get deluged with swooning emails from teenage girls.  It's embarrassing.

I personally prefer your shirt-on picture at Long Beach when your were 11, with your pant waistline nearly up to your chest, although the one next year with Twink is nice.

"Trapped like a rat" at 33? You snagged that young blonde before she knew she could have better, didn't you? Fess up.

P.S. How'd you get that buff guy in the pic to wear the glasses you wear in your recent pics?

P.P.S. Real men have (greying) chest hair.

And they won't be till I procure the A1260 MacBook Pro I've been looking for and buy a VP game newer than Rome Gold. :P

Brad could help entice me if VP ported Supreme Commander 1, my favorite recent RTS. Then I could offer some REAL strategy tips from a former Total Annihilation god rather than trying to learn a new game so I don't sound like some rube like that last guy! Hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge. ;)

EDIT: I see tBC managed to find a reason to get his shirt off. Again. Don't blame me when you burn your ass off falling into All Roads Lead to Sol's lava pools!

Eric5h5:
When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

I have only played roughly five to ten hours of SC1. The few things I can say about it are: I just love the nukes and Spider bot.

IMG only has the budget to hire old geezer strippers.  The $5 they paid tBC was the best they could do.  We should count ourselves lucky they couldn't come up with the $10 that he demands to do pole dancing.
