Whenever I open a .pdf, .doc, image, etc., the last several items I opened with that same app open. It is driving me CRAZY!
Anyone experiencing this? Surely, it is not a feature.

I reinstalled Snow Leopard, I can't work in Lion. Mission Control is awesome, but other than that, no thanks.
And now, time for some Legend of Zelda.

Okay, maybe you don't understand the rules here. You're gonna have to help me more than, "You can turn it off in Systempreferences somewhere."
Please. I just looked and noticed nothing remotely related to software apps.

I guess for that previous sentence it can work but loose is not a whole sale replacement for the word lose. I'm sorry but either way it doesn't look right to me at all. Only very loosely speaking.
Also english probably isn't his first language so I can understand it. Although again I wouldn't go around telling people that loose is a whole sale replacement for the word lose. I mean what happens when they want to describe it in the past tense. Like if a team didn't win the game. It's "the team lost the game".. not loosed and loost is not a word.

Another one that annoys me is when developers of certain apps, like Pixelmator, in which I do a little dabbling, force you to use OSX's new save system. I want Save As... back, and not to necessarily have changes be auto-saved to a file.

The loss of Save As as an option is the primary reason i haven't upgraded to Lion, along with the annoying UI "improvements".

I've stayed with SL myself. Nothing I've read about Lion attracted me. First time I've ever stayed with an older OS.

Oh, thanks. Simply browsed over that bit. I saw that and unchecked it, but it still occurred. Wouldn't think I'd need to restart for it to be active. Will try again.

That is entirely pixelmator's fault for being idiots. I'd fire them an email and let them know

It is stupid of the pixelmator devs, but so far their only word on the matter has been "you'll get used to it."
Apple should really have mandated that Save As remain across the board, in addition to duplicate etc. etc. etc. However, the potential is still there for it to happen, it's just that some developers and some apps, even within Apple, are dropping this kind of thing. God knows why, it's a damned useful function to have...
