It's simple math. it's just having a 16x16 grid instead of a 4x4 one. The 16x16 one can very easily become a 4x4 if need be.
Whatever crazy resolution it gets. Just cut it in "half". Ex: if its 3000x2000, just cut that to 1500x1000.

If anything you might be a bit thrown back from seeing the OS at that resolution, but it's not going to make the games look any different at the same resolution

On Macrumours there's a picture apparently showing the Mac Book Pro with an NVIDIA GT650M but we'll see. Does currently seem to be a credible rumour given that NVIDIA have been releasing Mac drivers independently for some of their cards (http://www.macbreake...-os-x-lion.html)

This is the update that should have happened in 2011 to fill the gap until the new Xeons were ready, not the one that should be happening now.

A Mac Pro will not be one of them--Tim Cook said they are working on something for later next year. If I had to guess, non-retina iMacs and a retina 13" MBP.
Personally, I'm done with Apple desktops. Easily-upgradable hackintosh + 13" MBP (eventually will be an Air) is the best of both worlds, IMO.
