Wouldn't be bad if someone updated the 'high lights' section too, no?

I've had some irregularities in the RSS feed with old news appearing as new items along with the actual new items. Seems to be okay now.

Well there is definitely something fishy going on. Either here on at my part because I'm once again am looking at News for Monday, August 22, 2011.
Cleared cache from Safari and quit it, but that didn't help one bit.

Just launched FF and that too displays the Aug 22 news page.

I'm confused.

I see news from the 22nd in Safari and Firefox. And as the OP remarked, I also saw july the 13th when he wrote that post, on my iPad.

I also see the 24th now. Something to do with timezones prehaps? Or, are we holding the website wrong?

News has been fine for me and I'm checking it daily. It was a little wonky about a week ago, but no longer for me. Maybe something in the server or cache could be reset/emptied. Not sure how IMG is setup.

I see todays. Dunno what to say, if I cannot reproduce the problem, there is no way I can fix the problem (if there even is a problem on OUR side of things hehehe).

Now, roughly two hours later, so do I.

The news on the frontpage always seems to interchange between August 22nd and the current date, depending on the time.

I believe I see the problem, and its unfortunately not easily fixed due to the sheer disgustingness that is the original IMG site code I inherited. The problem is that our wonderful writers are forgetting to set a TOP STORY for each day. As such, it drops back to the most recent top story it can find... which looks like the 22nd.

If I touch this code the way it pulls the day to show, I have a feeling so many things all over the site will crash and burn. This folks, is how you NOT do OOP.

Sounds plausible. The front page always seems to jump to the current date as soon as the day's news are coming up.
