Lion has fixed some crash bugs I had with Killing Floor and I can now turn up the antialiasing all the way on Halo (with the latest patch of course).

Riddick on the other hand seems unstable with antialiasing or ambient occlusion enabled even with the latest Lion patch for it installed.

Hi mattw,

I'm wondering what the problem could be?? The only real difference that I can imagine is that my Mac Mini has an AMD Radeon HD 6630M (256MB VRAM) in contrast to your Radeon 5870. I don't have any extensions/hacks running on my system....it is a "plain vanilla" platform.

As a mathematician, I hate mysteries.

Still works OK here on 10.7.1 (Mac Pro, Radeon 5870) there must be something difference causing the issues.

3.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5

AMD FirePro D300 (Dual GPU, 2048MB VRAM each)

Hi mattw,

When I try to boot up Jade Empire: Special Edition, the icon bounces a couple times and then I get the following dialog box:

Exception raised
Unhandled privileged instruction at address 0x9561e241
Do you wish to debug it?

I'm not sure how - that looks like a windows type error happening in Cider. The only time I saw something like that was with GTA3 on a particular level when I tried getting a boat onto some land.

I take it you have already tried a fresh download & install in case it is corrupt?

Yes, I've tried a fresh download and install....unfortunately, no luck in getting the game to run. =(

I'm hoping that it is something which is easily corrected in the next OS X update. Perhaps, it's an issue with graphics drivers?!

PS: most sticky post here are very old, like 10.5 compatibility list. IMHO would be better to sticky this one. In other forum sections is the same, see old bench are always on top.

I will post this also in suggestion forum.

Yesterday I've players SC2 on my new iMac with Lion and it works perfect with all max. I also tried Flatout2 and no problems so far.

Hi. Here's my addition to this thread. All these games were bought from Macgamestore.com
None of them run on Lion. Still waiting for some solution from the site. What a waste of money!

Thanks Redsaurus! It's great to see these games saved.

Alice, Jedi Academy and JK 2 both work now for me :) JK2 MP did still crash until I turned off some others stuff in the config file - nv fsaa I think . There are however a few black lines in the sky I noticed so I guess we are missing some features with the extensions off.

I tried the same with Call of Duty (1) but it still crashed.

Given how simple the fix is maybe Aspyr will make the effort to update these properly for Lion?

I just downloaded Jedi Academy digitally from gameagent.com without realizing it's not compatible with Lion. I've tried to follow these steps to fix it, but I can't get it to work. Can anyone clarify these steps for me? Here's what I've done so far:

1. Created a "Jedi Academy" folder at /~/Library/Application Support and put a new file in there called "autoexec.cfg"
2. Set the contents of autoexec.cfg to:

seta r_colorbits "32"
set r_allowExtensions 0

The program still crashes on startup. Did I miss a step or two here?
