Frequent crashes with ATI 4870?

Have any of you folks had problems with recurrent crashes during Windows gaming with the 4870? It crashes on me randomly, but pretty frequently. Never happens on the Mac side. I have a flashed 4870 with 1GB VRAM. Seems like this has been described in Windows forums and has something to do with the card changing clock speeds during 3D rendering? Any fixes?
