Performance in Lion are better on most gfx card like Radeon 5870, 6xxx series, but we wanted to test our little GMA.

I don't suppose you could download and run the OpenGL Extension Viewer. Performance is one part of the equation, but feature set is another. It'll be interesting to see if Lion has an OpenGL 3.2 codepath for the HD 3000 putting it on par with newer ATI and nVidia GPUs. Intel has added OpenGL 3.1 support in Windows for the HD 3000 so OpenGL 3.2 support isn't that much of a stretch. Otherwise, even though the HD 3000 is faster than the 9400M and roughly on par with the 320M, we may see HD 3000 support in games be prematurely terminated compared to slower nVidia IGP simply because of missing OpenGL extension support.

Sorry, it just had to be said.
Sorry! Ehm so is it right to write" Performance is better"? Sorry i don't even know my language good lol.
@ltcommander.data
I can check, i've seen an increased support in OpenlGL 3.x in both 5870 and GMA HD3000.
Update:
GMA HD3000
OpenGL 3.0 82%
OpenGL 3.1 12%
OpenGL 3.2 55%
This is from GM, maybe the actual Lion image is different but i doubt. Anyway today i will buy Lion and we will see.

I've not got the 10.6.8 figures a second (will update), but in Lion with my 8600M GT I get
OpenGL 3.0: 95%
OpenGL 3.1 25%
OpenGL 3.2 60%
Then 0% for OGL 3.3, 4.0 and 4.1.

OpenGL 3.0: 95%
OpenGL 3.1 12%
OpenGL 3.2 30%
Compared to the 95%, 25%, and 60%, I get in Lion.
The last 5% from 3.0 is GLSL 1.3, which is an odd omission, and likely down to Apple not adding it to 8600M GT drivers... Though I believe that GLSL 1.3 has been added to Lion. I just can't find a direct confirmation of this.

OpenGL 3.2 is available for all nVidia and ATI DX10 and up GPUs including the 8600M GT and HD 5870. OpenGL Extension Viewer 4.0 is supposed to be able to correctly detect it although you'll need to select the correct renderer and OpenGL profile from the menu.

So, I've now got 100% for OGL 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2, with 22% of OGL 3.3.
That seems to be as far as Apple have gone with Lion, looking and Data's linked table.

The Question is how much?
And from my personal experience it sucks pretty good

In terms of buying advice I would not recommend a HD3000 for gaming as it just does not have the power of a dedicated graphics card so will run almost all new games on lowest settings and in the future will likely be under specification before other cards of the same age. If you decide to buy a mini the higher spec one with the AMD card is well worth looking at as it will have a much longer life when it comes to supporting games.

Well it looks like Apple is actually serious about Intel IGPs, perhaps even more so than Intel themselves. Apple has added full OpenGL 3.2 Core profile support to the HD3000 with 10.7.2. That puts it ahead of Intel's own Windows drivers which I believe are still at OpenGL 3.1. What's more, Apple has also done a major update to the HD3000's Legacy profile driver, bringing it up to near extension equivalency with nVidia and ATI GPUs, including all OpenGL 3.0 extensions less GLSL 1.30. So we knew the HD3000 performance was roughly on par with the nVidia 320M and now the HD3000 has the OpenGL feature-set to match too, which ensures games won't prematurely drop support for it compared to the 320M.
