In case anyone else is interested: I just snagged AC2 for $10.20 on Steam today for Ubisoft week. Brotherhood is also on sale, but it's not yet SteamPlay enabled.
Note that the system requirements are pretty absurd compared to the PC version, and they haven't completely removed the odious DRM--you need to have an internet connection to start the game, but not to play it.

Yeah, the requirements are pretty much doubled. Amusing in a sad sort of way. Is the DRM "fixed" for the Mac version as well, or just for Windows?

*shrug* Connection at start-up doesn't bother me. The previous "permanent" connection irked me a bit though. Not sure if they ever fixed the Mac version in a similar fashion. No matter, it should run quite nicely in Windows 7.

Well, I just tried it without an internet connection after startup, and it doesn't work. Bummer--the thought that they'd only fixed the PC version hadn't occurred to me. Oh well, at least it's running flawlessly on my hackintosh, everything maxed.

DAMN YOU! I'd been on the fence about it, too... well thank God these aren't like the days way back when the Mac version would always be $10-20 more than the PC version...
