I have just followed an online tutorial on how to get the SheepShaver OS 9 emulator working. I have successfully launched the program and the OS 9 window is currently open, however every time I attempt to open a game I put into the shared folder between the OS 9 and my OS X Hard Drive it refuses to work, telling me that it "Couldn't allocate a sound channel. Try to restart (hold Shift down) with extentions off."
I have no idea what this means and can't seem to find a way to locate a sound channel within the OS 9 window. I went back to SheepShaver Preferences on my OS X, clicked on the Audio / Video tab, and under Audio I saw that my Output device is set to /dev/dsp and my mixer device set to /dev/mixer. Hopefully this is enough information for someone to help me out, I can't see any other methods of locating this sound channel and the game refuses to work unless this sound is operating.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks heaps!
