Some of the time on TF2, the maps have not been able to download, although a manual download has (for other people) fixed that issue. I am not sure if it was just the Mac port or just bad servers or something. I have also not downloaded any add-ons, but everything else Jan listed, had happened to me. I have played CS, Portal, HL2 and TF2 on both of the computers in my sig. Both have had problems.

Well, if it only were me having problems with the Source games, I'd say "sucks to be me". But seeing that the Steam forums are brimming with the same problems being reported over and over* again is a clear sign that there's something rotten in the state of Denmark.

There is always a vocal group of people who have problems with anything. Not that I'm saying there isn't a problem for you or them. People who don't have problems don't tend to complain about it they just go on their merry way... for every one complaining about a problem there could be 100 people who don't have that problem. OK I pulled that number out of my butt but you get what I'm saying...

So what? Does that mean that a bug that a considerable number of people – no matter how big is actually is – is experiencing is not worth fixing?

No? Thought so.

Did I say that? I never said that. In fact what I said already addressed that ("Not that I'm saying there isn't a problem for you or them.") Do you read things before you respond to them or do you just have a knee jerk reaction. It's worth looking into but to say it's a general problem for everyone (who could be the silent majority) is a stretch... nor does the amount of complaining actually reflect the number of people who have a problem versus all the silent people who don't have a problem.
