One thing I'd like to see in the next version. Please, please, please add navigation to the game images. Having to click on a thumbnail, close the window, then click on another thumbnail is an annoyance. Most other sites already do this.

Just speculation. But i think that the crowd that uses Mac Game store are not the sort of crowd you are going to lose to the Mac App Store. The Mac App store will bring new users to the table if anything, i don't think it will completely take their attention from something like MGS.

In english. Lion will bring more online store users if anything, not steal them all.

Now that I've calmed down, I'm thinking that this'll take a bite out of MacGameStore, but it may not be the killing blow I'd first feared. OpenFeint was assumed to be a goner when Apple announced Game Center, and that just hasn't happened. They took steps to integrate their offering with Apple's, and Apple's offering wasn't as obliteratingly compelling as expected, and OpenFeint tooks steps to integrate with Android, and for the time being they seem fine.

Not that I know what Tuncer's margins are. But maybe augmenting the income a bit, and maybe going after audiences not well-served by Apple, will be enough. Maybe sell some non-games (hint books, Crossover, game-related utilities; anything to branch out.)

I'm sure I speak for all the news writers when I say they are willing to be pimped out as male prostitutes.
