I recently tried this great game again and it runs in Rosetta at native resolution after editing the autoexec.cfg file with everything turned up. Unfortunately it actually runs too fast and this causes an issue with the cut scenes and dialogues getting cut off too early. Looking on the web it seems that this is solvable on the PC by forcing V-Sync on but as we don't have a working ATI displays anymore I can't see how to do this. Anyone got any ideas?

Well I've had no luck so far finding a way of enabling V-sync in any of the config files for NOLF 1 :(

As I'm working through my old Mac titles I also found an issue with "True Crime" - the game itself works fine but I can't get it to ignore my joystick so the keyboard won't work when it is connected. There is a section in the ini file about controller but both flags are set to 0 anyway. Any ideas how to force it to ignore it?

NOLF is probably one of my favorite shooters of all time.  I played that game OVER and OVER...  got heavily involved in the VERY buggy multiplayer.  I bought the Mac version of NOLF when I got my first MacBook Pro and found that it ran terribly because of the Power PC CPU vs the Intel CPU issue (my MBP was a Core Duo).

I don't know if Vsync is something that you turn on and off on the PC version, as I never remember it being an issue. When vsync isn't on in something, I'm usually pretty quick to notice.

My experience with NOLF, combined with the issue of 'universal binaries' that not all games are getting.... both conspired to push me back to my desktop PC for gaming, although I feel certain that is not the answer you want. I still game on my Mac, just like I game on my X-Box 360, but MOST of my gaming is on my PC.
