jalada GmbH has announced the release of Yam II - Return of the Killer Potato, sequel to Yam. Described as "Pacman meets Doom," the 3D action RPG puts players in the role of Yam, a potato who must lead his fellow soldiers in a battle to take back his homeworld from alien invaders. The game features 30 missions, multiple weapons, mini-game puzzles, and boss battles.

In YAM II the player take on the role of the potato soldier Yam. He must leads the Potatoes in a mission to take back their homeworld from the alien invaders who are still present and put an end to the war once and for all. With his knowledge of combat, Yam intends to lead the Potatoes across their homeworld in a series of strategic strikes on enemy strong holds, supply lines and bases.

The game has 30 missions that play in different parts of the potato world. The player explore and navigate to the exit of each level, facing many challenging monsters and a few secret areas along the way. Usually there are buttons to press or keys to collect in order to open doors before the exit can be reached. Once reaching the exit, the game takes the player to the next level. Each level increase the game difficulty (more enemies and trap). To solve a level Yam needs the help of his friends, which are also controlled by the player. The mission ends with a particularly challenging fight, sometimes against a boss. In the end of the game against Galdov.

Seriously, I have seen games by hobbyists that look (and play) less amateurish than Jalada's "products" for which they are not ashamed to take money.
