While it was previously available for $16, you can pre-order the download version for only $10 now until May 11. Pretty good deal, I'd say. Its release is slated for August. I just noticed this on the very same page: "If we reach 2000  pre-orders before the 31st of May, the game will get extra content!" So hop to it! Only around 400 more needed.

Damn, too many good games coming out in the coming months, including PS3 and Wii releases for me. Guess it's going to be a great summer of gaming this year. :)

Yeah, I'm excited about this one. Never did get around to finishing Black Plague, though. Need to do that!

Preorder times ago! If this game will be half as good as penumbra series... it is awesome!

"We will add more content" ???

A preorder tally would dictate that? Wouldnt that also mean "the more the preorders, the more we will delay it cause we will add more content!" ???

Hehe.

Yeah, I'll prolly preorder it as well, looks quite interesting.

I have only just recently got into the Penumbra series and been loving it.  Already got the set for that game and will be pre ordering this for sure

I couldn't resist & went ahead and pre-ordered :) It's great to be overwhelmed with Mac gaming developments .. and there's still a fair number of games I need to pick up when my wallet permits!

I guess this "sale" did help push it over 2k pre-orders now. I almost forgot to put mine in as I've become distracted by the SC2 beta.

 I just noticed the Extra button/linky thingie next to the pre-order-o-meter. Don't expect anything mindblowing because it says:

At 2000 pre-orders, placed before the 31st of May, the game will get extra content in the form of a commentary track. By enabling commentaries, members from Frictional Games will talk about the creation of Amnesia: The Dark Descent during your playtrough.

The commentaries will be in English only!

Oh well, I made my preorder for the better price anyway.

Ah, so people who pre-ordered before 2000 get the 'additional content', but if I pre-order now, I wont?

Thank goodness the 'additional content' is utterly and completely useless drivel garbage filler that would waste my hard disk space! Its like releasing a dvd with "BONUS MATERIAL!" and its just a bunch of drunks guys gabbing through the movie. If I want that, I won't pay for it, I'll just invite friends over.

Additional content in the form of an interview is pretty "meh", if you ask me..
"They're everywhere!"

And now, time for some Legend of Zelda.
