To watch the video about IE9 "Standards" and "Interoperability" you need to install Microsoft Silverlight

http://channel9.msdn...teroperability/

I think MS does not understand the word irony ... at all.

Hey. MS web team! There is a reason we web designers despise IE. Are you ready? It's because your "support" of standards sucks! IE still not supporting border-radius drives me mental. I have an idea. Instead of your stupid-bass-ackwards rendering engine, use WebKit!

PS. Then again, it is the same day that Microsoft chief software architect Ray Ozzie claimed "Mobile apps aren't an important factor in the success of a smartphone platform." Uh, fail.

MS doesn't care about standards; MS cares about making money.
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.

IE? What is this AYE EEE? It is not in my dictionary.

I have boycotted it, and no longer develop any more changes to make things 'work' on that heap of trash IE. If someone is stupid enough to use IE, then well, they are used to websites looking like crap then, and I won't try to bend over backwards to make things finally work right in IE, while sacrificing so many things in other web browsers.

IE ... pfft...

border-radius is the least of their problems.

I thought it was an embarrassing rash that he was trying to keep hidden.

Speaking of Microsoft fail, it appears they're beginning a new campaign of paying companies to delist themselves from Google and instead use Bing.

How very Microsoft. Your pathetic POS product can't compete, so you just buy your competitors, or if you can't buy your competitors, you bribe people not to use them.

Bing isn't bad..

Google is still better.

The other day, I had a customer tell me that he really likes ask.com. *snicker*

Maybe, I would hope they've improved since they launched... I tried Bing out a couple months ago or so and it was a very nostalgic journey back to using InfoSeek in the 1990s. That is, a buttload of useless results in which you have to look closely for one or two that might be useful.

I recall when a Microsoft rep came to give a demo of Windows 3.0 where I worked. The poor woman demonstrating
it spent about 15 minutes trying to get it to start up and finally determined someone hadn't copied over all the files
required to her system. So she played a VCR of Bill Gates talking about it and then asked if there were any
questions afterwords.

Tough way to make a first impression...
