First, welcome to the IMG forum. To help you I (we) will need to know what is the computer you have bought. I will need full specs (like the ones in my signature).

Allow me to add my welcome! I personally think you've entered a much more friendly, bug-free environment. There are fewer games available here on the Mac side, but still plenty to keep you busy (plus we generally get the better games, and not all the dreck that gets thrown out there for the PC gamers)

I would also amend Janichsan's suggestion to include photos of the female relatives (all of whom should be over 18, mind you) - not because we're shallow or anything, but because it's just nice to be able to put a face to a name. ;)

You're probably good out of the box, but then you really only have an option to upgrade most of that stuff if you're on a Mac Pro anyway. What machine are you running?

Welcome to the forum! A lot of us just sort of creep around nowadays but if you take the time to get to know us you'll come away with a love of Marathon, Bilbop Mippleberry, Magical Flying Pink Ponys, and cats. Lots and lots of slithering, creeping mind controlling cats....

That's not a proper answer, that's a cop-out answer, and isn't even an answer to the question that was asked. The real answer is: unless you have a Mac Pro, there's nothing much you can do to enhance graphics over what you already have.

Referring to sound I've been completely happy with the sound on my 24" iMac (2.33 7600) so if you purchased one of the nice new iMacs then I'm sure sound will be fine out the box.

As previously mentioned only the Mac Pro has upgradable graphics however would be good to know what system you bought and what kind of games you like to play so we can suggest a few titles etc :)

And welcome to the mad house! :D
