indieSpring has announced the release of Fluttr for Mac, iPhone, and PC. The game challenges players to help a butterfly safely navigate areas by removing obstacles from its path such as flowers, bees, and spiders. The game was built using GarageGames Torque iT2D platform.

At indieSpring we're trying to prove that young, graduate, game developers have the ability to produce high quality, good fun games that rival professional studios output, at a fraction of the development cost.

Working collaboratively online with team members in Austria, America, Singapore, Australia and the UK, we have been working on game development for two years. Fluttr is our first "own-brand" release, and was developed at a total cost of about £500. It is the first of several games we have planned to release for PC, Mac and iPhone in the coming 6 months.

Fluttr tasks you with saving a butterfly from an explosive end by sweeping aside flowers, poking away bees and pinning up spiders. Easy to pick up and play, with quick, fun gameplay paced gently in a unique artistic setting.

Fluttr is built upon the torque iT2D platform from GarageGames, and is also available as a free download for PC & Mac. Over at indieSpring we're huge fans of the torque suite of tools, and it was a natural fit for us when we were considering a quick-to-prototype game platform which could deploy to the iPhone.
