My '06 iMac keyboard recently gave up the ghost in the form of spacebar and a bunch of other keys all of a sudden not doing anything. I replaced it with an old but fully functional Apple keyboard that once belonged with the '00 G4 tower I used for the first half of the decade. Works fine Mac-side, but to Win XP it doesn't exist. Any ideas what gives? I thought one USB keyboard should be as good as another.

Or it's just that no one really knows the answer...
Usually, it should be no problem to use a Mac USB keyboard under Windows, but I seem to remember vaguely that the very first Apple USB keyboards were somewhat troublesome on that behalf.
Is yours one of those shown below?
