Ugh. This is what my oldest son felt like four days ago? Ugh. Feels like tBC's inside my skull with a hammer trying to get out. Plus I can't get my back and neck to stop aching.

On the plus side, I've been able to turn off the furnace as I'm producing enough heat for the entire house.

Back to bed now.

PS. Of course, this is the day the battery in my wife's car decided to die.

I've been down for the last few days with something, although mine was more of a really bad chest cold, I've had headaches everyday, and been extremely congested. fun.

I guess I'm the Practical Pig of the 3 of us. I got a flu shot and I feel fine. Aside from the side effects of spontaneous limb loss, spleen rejection, and temporary loss of vision. Fine.

I'll crawl out of your head now Davey. Sorry to be such a bother, it all started out as a transporter error anyway. I've asked Mr. Kyle for his agonizer, it shant happen again I assure you.

Yes, it does. Especially when you get pneumonia at the tail end of it. I had never been so sick. Hang in there, DJJ!

Ugh, I know the feeling. Three years ago I had pneumonia and the flu at the same time. The anti-boditics the doctor gave me required a strong stomach, which obviously I didn't have cuz of the flu. I ended up vomiting up everything including the anti-biotics for days, until the doctor finally realized his mistake and gave me a different set of pills :glare:

I never bothered with flu shots, guessing that I would be such a miserably easy target with my beer-drinking and my staying up too late and general ill-repair that no self-respecting virus would bother to attack me. But now that I have a kid I am pretty diligent. Got the Seasonal flu vaccine today, and, just to be trendy, the H1N1 aka Swine Flu vaccine too. Ditto the kid, which didn't go over too well.

I don't do flu shots, but that's because I live in an iron fortress locked in the innermost rooms so nobody ever sees me, and I send my minions out (by giving them orders over an intercom system) to raid nearby villages and get the supplies I need. When they return, they put the supplies into a slot which leads to a complex system of decontamination chambers, so by the time they are deposited into my innermost room, they are thoroughly free of anything that might do me the slightest harm, hence the total lack of a need for flu shots. This process does tend to make the ice cream taste slightly weird, but it's all worth it.

...Well, OK, some of that is slightly exaggerated. And by "slightly exaggerated," I mean...well...OK, fine, it's all a lie! Are you happy now? I just wanted to pretend I had minions! Is that so bad?!

Sigh...even one minion would be nice...alas....

I'm with you, Davey. I had the flu from Wednesday to Saturday and am now slowly recuperating.

I'd have gotten the flu shot (I do every year) if the darn thing was available yet in Canada. It's not scheduled to arrive until December now. And the H1N1 variant shot isn't coming to my neck of the woods until a week this Thursday (the 5th). I was actually recovering well yesterday but must've pushed it too hard (got the wife's car battery charged, tires inflated etc) because I'm worse again today. Ugh.

I don't normally get a flu shot because I never get sick anymore but a couple years ago I caught some flu that totally kicked my ass up one side of the bed and down the other. I had a gut wrenching, hacking cough AND a throat so sore it felt like a foot long rope burn from hell. I couldn't swallow but I would lay there reflexively swallowing all night unable to sleep through it. I wound up gargling ground up codeine tablets in sugar water which helped with the pain and the cough. The last two years I've gotten a flu shot. I'm not getting the H1N1 shot though, too many reports of it being a botched job.

::tBC dives into his Uncle Scrooge style money bin (only it's filled with smarmy minions) and swims around with flippers and a facemask:: Ahhhhhhhhh... this is the life. It's good to be the king. ::a beautiful minion runs out over the top of the other minions bringing a frosty beverage:: Thank you dear. ::tBC tips the minion with a lesser minion::

I had some form of flu earlier this year that left me so fatigued that when I had tried to go to the bathroom, I passed out from the exhaustion of simply trying to urinate. Luckily I really don't get sick often but it is passing through my house currently.

I really hope you mean the flu. And not your urine.

Wow, can you imagine a massive kidney stone passing through his house? Rumbling down the hallways, smashing furniture. Hope they have french doors.
