I know this is a little vague, but which of the Ati AGP cards had a Built on fan?
Were any of them the 32 MB cards? G4 Cards.

Thanks. I'll be getting a grab bag AGP in the mail soon.

My 128 MB 2X/4X AGP ATI Radeon 9800 Pro has a built in fan on it. It's still pootin' away in my Sawtooth G4 on the other end of my home network.

Well, this is interesting. I've been doing some googling and even some of the 256 MB cards (9550) don't even have fans. ??? Now I'm perplexed. Why do some of them have fans and some don't??

PS I asked and will get an answer soon. (yeah, i know. don't say it.)

Yes, it has a Sonnet 1GHz Encore/ST G4 running in it. Read all about it in my profile.

The amount of VRAM doesn't make any particular difference for fans. If it runs cool enough to get away with passive cooling, it has no fan. Otherwise, it has one.

I have to post a dancing banana in celebration of Yo Mike finding his GPU card info via googling or he's coming over for dinner uninvited with Oreo cookies and milk. Soooo, back by popular demand:

I appreciate you posting me the bananna. You're too kind and words cannot express my enjoyment of the bananna. However, I'll catch up with you someday...
Anyway, about the Xbench results, I think my G4 will have some lower scores.
Also, how do I insert my document like you did? I didn't see any specific options in BB Code help or any other options on the posting options panel.
Nice score, btw!

I didn't build my G4 to compete, I was only trying to keep up with the games I wanted to play. Only IMG Pro, Developers, and Moderators can attach items to their posts.

Nice. Looks dangerous.

Our Xbench results are pretty close together considering my CPU ugrade is a lower model, yet my bus speed is higher. We could play an online game vs each other sometime if we have the same game for Panther. I've got Think Tanks. It's a good game to start at. Do you have it? Do you have any other online games we could play? Wow! I haven't asked this in a looooooooooooong time to anyone!

I won't crunch with this though, so don't ask.
I just booted into 9 also for the first time in a while, it smokes awesome and supports RAVE like I really like too!

Hey, quit trying to pick on me. We'll not fight for your amusement no matter how many quatloos are wagered, right Capt. Kirk? Now, where's my training thrall? I need to practice my face plants.

Okee dokee, tBC. Sorry you can't come play TT with us. I thought you gamed occassionally. I guess people are more interested in yammering about new hardware, than actually gaming. ::shrugs:: Have fun!
Let me know if you ever change your mind.

Heh, even with your G5-500-Watt-bread-baker, I'd pop your top more than you could count! Have fun "keeping up"! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
