I have a 2.66Ghz iMac running snow leopard. I install the direct download blizzard starcraft, it seems to install fine, but when I run starcraft, I just get a black screen. I tried reinstalling rosetta, but that didn't help. I tried installing SC on a different username, that didin't help. I have a Macbook running snow leopard, and that runs SC fine. Any thoughts, tips, help?

I'm not sure if this will help with your problem, but I'll throw it out for you to try it anyway... Download a new copy of the app, the latest patch will have it. Copy it to your Starcraft folder and then lock the app before launching it (back up the old app first, just in case!).
Last time I had problems with Starcraft it was caused by how OS X handles the signing of downloaded apps (you know, when you launch an app for the first time and it says "Starcraft (Carbon) is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" ). In short, when you click on Open, OS X does something with the app that conflicts with Starcraft's self checksum thingie.
I can't remember if this fixed the black screen for me or if it was one of the new graphics drivers in a 10.5.x update that took care of it.
