Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this...

I'm Charlie, and i make games! I'm a strong supporter of gaming on the Mac, I make sure all of my games have a Mac version, and i've just released a new one! It's out for Mac OS X 10.4 and above. There's a video of it at the link below.

Anyway, if you like shooting things, you might like this. It's a fun 2D in 3D shooter all about trying to make to make the perfect run. There's a 20 level demo available at the link below, and if you like what you see then the full version costs a small $1+ donation.

Let me know if you like the game (or hate it, I suppose) :) Pics below.

Cheers
Charlie

Looks good, Charlie. I still play your first Bullet Candy game sometimes. I'll check this one out too.
Seems like your games are garage sale prices. I remember Bullet Candy was like 9.99 US, then it went down to like 3.95. Now, this one is only at least $1? Do you make any profit from your games
or is it a hobby for extra cash and enjoyment?
Anyway, I'll check the new one out.

Yeah, i make a few bucks, although it's mostly thanks to distributors such as Steam on the Windows side of things. I'd really like to be able to promote my games a bit better on Mac, but the gaming scene isn't as easily reached i guess, unless you know different...

Hope you like the game, it's actually a bit of a remix of the original using the 3D engine/framework i've been using/developing for another game.

Cheers

Hi Charlie,
I think that if a small developer (as yourself) has a variety of different games they will be better able to get recognition to more users. There's a lot of casual gaming out there, and a lot of the top sellers on Mac Game store and others sell tons and tons of casual games. I've seen Bullet Candy on other game sites too for purchase.

I just started a thread a about a week ago and asked if anyone had any favorite breakout style games for Mac. -I got one reply. Turns out there's really not that many Breakout style games for
Mac. Hint, hint. - I'm sure you could develop an awesome Breakout Style game for Mac with your
Bullet Candy style graphics. There is a casual trend in Mac Games that's growing. I'd say follow the trend and go for it.

BTW, what's your favorite casual game you didn't develop?

Hi Charlie,

Another thing or two..

Cosmo Bots is one of my favorite all time Mac Games. Ever played it?
It's unique, it's fun, it's DIFFERENT!!! I'm almost 50% done with all 577 levels and I still love it.

Mac gamers need some variety. I love variety, yet finding the types of games I like is like finding a dodo bird. I'm surprised not to find more real different Mac games. It's like it's Mac make something
different that us Mac gamers can be proud of. but, I think I understand that programming for Mac can be a bit of a double edged sword as Apple is always changing things. But, as with BOOM it's obviously prooven that to upgrade your even old games is not impossible.

That's a rant. ;)
