This is the first time we'll get to see UE3 on OSX eh?

Come to think of it... what was the last real blockbuster released for OSX?

I've played this through multiple times on PC and I'm still going to buy the Mac version. I don't see any other way to support Mac porters. I guess I kind of view it as a charitable contribution.

This is in my top-3 of games I really want to try, so YES!
And now I have (Take that dead thread!)! Better late than never I guess.. But it *did* look fantastic on my 2011 iMac.

Highly recommended game. Actually, extremely recommended game. One of the best shooters I've ever played. Highly immersive! 9/10 from me.

The only thing I missed in the game was a slightly better map and some epic and glorious views out and inside (As in larger halls, or special scenery out the windows).

Now, probably another Feral game that isn't a shooter, and then on to Bioshock 2! :D

Holy thread resurrect? Last post was 3 years ago.

BioShock 2 provides some very pretty indoor and outdoor things to look at.

Sounds good to me!

It was old yes, but it was also the largest and most focused Bioshock thread on the forum, hence the divine selection.

Ironically I thought Bioshock 2 didn't look as good as the original Bioshock. :P

Actually, BioShock used a heavily modified Unreal Engine 2.5.

I played it like 100 years ago on the Xbox, but I remember my feelings being roughly the same. The game lays on the awesomesauce pretty thick.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

So what? Many people knew it in 2007 and it's been said in this forum many times since then as well. I know I've said it at least once. Either way you are too late here to educate anyone, sorry.

Yes, too late and a dollar short. We expect users to review every message in the forums for the last 5 years before posting anything factual. That's why most of the threads devolve into a handful of regulars exchanging non sequiturs and in-jokes. It's just too much work to post anything else.

I hope you've learned your lesson, J! :)

I didn't know what Unreal Engine Bioshock used.  But then again, I didn't (and don't) really care, either.  So maybe I knew and just forgot.  <non sequitur>  What were we talking about?

The depth of the awesomesauce layered on top of the vanilla cake that is Bioshock.

Well, too late for anyone who cares anyway... and one can simply look it up too. It's not like that info is all that obscure. :) You can google "what engine does bioshock use" if you cared at all. It's no secret. There is an entire internets out there FULL of information.... (and the answer is the first hit doing the aforementioned google search so it's not like it's hard work either). That's why FAQ's exist too. Some people can nerdily trump his earlier claim too and say they knew this since 2006. ;)

Darn, now you did it. So far tBC haven't had a reason to join us, since he's afraid of water (Bioshock being under water and everything...), but the name Marathon is like catnip for him..

And it was such a lovely and quiet tread with only a minimum of bickering..
