I do sincerely apologize if this is an old topic (or misfiled) but I've been wanting to try NWN(1) on my new Intel MacPro and although the 1.69 update is quite easy to find there are constant reminders that the 1.69 update "requires that the 1.30 update already be installed". Ergo my slight frustration and the beginning of this thread;

• According to the latest posts on BioWare's site regarding the defunct attempt at a UB release of NWN, running NWN (PPC of course) on Snow Leopard (assuming Rosetta was installed) appears to run just fine. Yay.

• Might anyone know where I might come across the 1.30 update? My searches have come to no avail.

• Thank you in advance!

that could simply be an error. Try just installling the 1.69 patch over your base install.

the NWN Patches for Mac tended to be full-file replacements... that was how you could install the game from PC disks in the first place - you copied over all the files and then just drug the latest mac patch files into the right places.

Wasn't 1.31 the first version for Mac?

100% CORRECT! Thanks a lot! I just finished installing it and running it (after an extensive search for the instructions for my cd key!)... I've played with it for all of ten seconds but it seems to be super smooth at max res with all options maxed... will report more later... baby daughter causing trouble. :P

THANKS AGAIN!

Update: I've been playing it on my setup (sans add-ons) for awhile and have noticed no slowdowns of any kind nor glitches of any kind yet... a nice diversion from Modern Warfare, albeit a little more time consuming than Bejeweled. ;) Thanks for the suggestion, Tetsuya!

Thanks for the information, but because the patch must be installed if the rosetta installation of the game is not necessary ¿?

You didn't install Rosetta? That's very likely key to running the game since it's PowerPC.
