joystick question

have had a logitech wingman extreme for a long time. so long that i don't remember how to make it work. this is key because i just changed computers and chose against using migration asst.

so, two questions

1. are there drivers or something for this? i seem to recall a CD for PC's, but nothing for mac. computer does not seem to recognize that it is there.

2. is there something more recent that i should be considering?

I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, which works fine without needing extra drivers or anything. Granted it's not as good as the Extreme Ultra Mega Pro 4D Optimum Maximum Edition, but since I just made that up to make fun of the name, I don't really care.
