I downloaded Quake Live about a week ago when it came out. It's loads of fun, and I haven't enjoyed an online shooter this much since Halo UB. Also I can play it everywhere cuz its new enough that the school hasn't blocked it yet :D

"Floxwoop" here. I'll have to look into my high ping before I can enjoy the game properly. Anyone else experiencing bad lag on most servers?

(PS: typing with one hand while brushing teeth with the other is hard)

I've tried to add you guys to my friends list but it doesn't seem to work. I got your invite Sneaky Snake, but nothing happened when I accepted it. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

No idea. The whole friend management seems broken in the Mac version. Just today, I tried to accept a friend request but when I clicked on it, it simply vanished and never was to be seen again.

Yeah, accepting invites seems to be broken on Macs for now.

Apparently, if you have Bootcamp or Parallels or VMWare, you can log into your QuakeLive account in Window, add people as friends, and then they'll show up in Safari.

Is the friends list working on mac yet? I can receive friend requests in the Linux version in Ubuntu 9.04

I received your friend request mango, but it disappeared when i accepted :glare:

EDIT:: never mind, its the same thing, with disappearing friends

Yeah, it's frustrating. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. I might just boot into Windows and send/accept invites. But I haven't had much time to play the past few days.

Seems to be working now unless you added me from Linux. Whatever the case, you now appear on my friend list.

I did accept your friend request while in Linux, but that was several days ago, and it didn't work initially. Hopefully everything's fixed now
