Got this as a birthday gift, but can return it. If I return it, I can either get KOTOR 2 or the Star Wars: Best of PC collection (which I really just want for KOTOR 1), as my preference is for RPGs over adventure games (I'm assuming this is an adventure game because that's how it's listed on Gamespot (which, btw, has no reviews), so if this really should go in another category, I've got my house securely tethered to my back).

I did see the movie and - SQUIRREL! - the person who gave me the gift thought I would like it because of how much I enjoyed the movie.

Looks like it's similar to Lego Star Wars/Indiana Jones - running, jumping, 2 player coop mode where a second player can drop in/out at anytime. I liked the Lego games, but mostly because of the hilarious cutscenes and the challenge of collecting various pieces/unlocking special characters, etc. I have been unable to find any reviews of this game online, however.

Anyone able to share their impressions about this game?

It'd probably be better for you to just return the game. Licensed games of Pixar movies (as most others) don't have the best track record. I doubt this one will be much different quality-wise than the previous mediocre fare from THQ's offerings.

I'm overwhelmed by the responses. ;) I was suspicious when I couldn't find any discussion about this game online, even on this site where people are usually so thrilled to see a new game come out for the Mac. If no one was talking about it on IMG, then it must not be worth mentioning.

Thanks, Pegasus. It's been returned, though not yet replaced. I might ask for Two Worlds II, actually, rather than getting another game to play on the Windows partition.

Yes, but...a movie license game...there's about a 99% chance that it wouldn't be interesting even if it was the only Mac game to come out this year....

It's not a movie license game though, it just takes place in the Star Wars universe. Although I have to admit the vector graphics Star Wars game from the 80s was good fun. There's always an exception. ;) Also, the very concept of Star Wars lends itself to gaming a lot more than most movies, although that didn't stop some of the actual Star Wars movie license games from being lame (like the ones for the SNES).

I agree! ;D I was just putting in my 2¢ about Tibur's trade-in choices.
