Virtual Programming has announced the Mac release of Alien Shooter 2 a title which combines elements of arcade action and role playing games. Alien Shooter 2 features both co-op and single player gameplay, 3 game modes, over 250 levels, more than 50 types of weapons, and a storyline with multiple paths to completion.

Features:

More than 50 types of weapons - now you can not just kill but also burn, freeze and even diminish the enemies
More than 20 types of useful gadgets - from flash lights, radars and medkits to battle drones
3 game modes: Campaign, Survive and Network game;
Dynamic music and sound effects.
Entire game is playable co-operatively with another player
Build up your Island World with all manner of Pipelines
Enhanced visuals & a variety characters to help and hinder
Attacks & damage, new pieces, new play mechanics, multiple floozes
250+ levels set across 8 themed locations

has anyone bought this game ?

is it only 4:3 1024x768 ? or does this guide work for osx too.

Afraid not, although I am kinda interested in this one. I really wish there was a demo for Mac so I could make a decision on purchasing it.

this game is great, ibought it last night at macgamestore.
i changed the res to 1900x1200 and it runs smooth,
but i have problems installing the snow-leo update.

This Game really rocks! The 2D graphics are much more detailed as top-down-shooters with 3D engine. The animation,
the lightning and the gore effects look really great. Though it is very hard but is is a lot of fun. really great stuff!!

If they would like to improve something they should use a core-effect for smoother scrolling (a the moment it is far from being smooth)
add also widescreen- and highres support and shorten the loading times; these things would be very nice.

i cant wait for the next port from sigma-team and VP!!

this game is a defentive buy!
and SIGMA please stick to highres 2D !!!
