Uru SDKs taking too long to release. :glare:

Theirs real myst, which is epic, no stop laughing, it's great even though you can finish it in 3 hours first time through. So why not a real riven with today technology?

Mainly because of a few show stoppers that would make porting too difficult. The massive size of the resources, the number of real-live actor sequences that would have to be adapted to a rendered character, and many other reasons, not the least of which includes the fact that Cyan (last I checked) is comprised of 2 employees. I've heard there might be good news for a NEW Cyan project, but that sort of shoves all the Myst stuff into a hole.

For the PC hackers, there's Drizzle, which you can take the Myst Online Uru Live, URU Complete Chronicles, Crowthistle (a book that Cyan created an interactive 3D environment for) and Myst V resources and turn them all into this massive offline exploration smorgasbord.
