You all are going to get sick of me, I swear. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to sell (or perhaps "give") Steam games to another person. I didn't know if this is actually possible, but i have an old Steam account that is basically useless now. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can, I believe, buy a game as a gift, but theres no second hand game exchanging aside from giving away your entire account.
So only for people you trust really, and even then make sure you deleted the credit card details and so on.
Whoever you give it to will have to put up with having your username, and quite possibly also email, but aside from that it should be alright giving it away.

I do not really know anything about Steam, but could you not change the email?

Yeah alright, you can change the contact email.

I would advise checking the EULA to see if this kind of passing on of ownership would get the account suspended though.

They (Valve) dont like people selling accounts... they dont 'like it', but I havnt seen any rules forbidding it with repercussions for doing so (like account ban or deletion).

However, its a hassle to give away a game, cause then you lose your username, and all the attached achievments, or other stats and stuff. Sure you can change out the email and CC info... but really, its just kind of lame to lose everything else especially if you have more than one game on that account.

Steam is the greed-machine for valve, so they pretty much enforce no second hand sales of any kind due to the nature of the beast.

If I recall correctly, Valve gives you a certain leeway when you're trying to sell Steam games that came on a physical disc. There are ways to transfer the license to the buyer, but I don't completely remember how. However, purely digital downloads (anything you bought via Steam) are not resellable.

On the other hand, there are ways to make at least some Steam games run on Macs without having to reboot: for instance, virtually all Source engine games run very well with CrossOver as do a couple of other games.

I've been playing some of my Steam games with Wine on Linux. Every game I've tried so far has worked, but I've only tried one.
