After a marathon, five hour, frustrating session of putting up two ceiling fans yesterday, I shouldn't have been let near a public soapbox like Twitter. Despite my love for Kodu's UI, apprently great sense of play-learning-exploration, and simple joy about games, I made fun of the platform for being MS-centric (limited to Xbox and PC-only hardware). My intention was really to point out that my kids will never get to play in the environment, but let's just say I wasn't that, err, subtle in Twitter's 140 character limit.
OK, the developers do care. Personally.
Not as bad as a dressing down as, say, tBC when I start veering into non-forum territory re: topics, but close enough that I now feel like an utter a$$. [DaveyJJ makes note not to tweet when tired or frustrated.]
Is anyone using it and what are their experiences? I mean, as the sole wage earner for our family, I can't afford an Xbox to simply play with a single toy (let alone avoid overdraft every few months), but I'm very curious about what people's experiences are with it, especially those parents around the forum with kids? Anyone playing with it?

Anyone playing with Kodu? My #kodusucks tweet was, perhaps, a bit hasty

Ok, I don't know what Kodu is. But I do know that installing ceiling fans sucks more than having a 4-hour root canal with only 2 hours ' worth of anaesthetic. I actually know this from experience. And now I have a root canal that didn't work and 3 ceiling fans whose wireless remotes all work at random on the wrong fan.
So, daveyJJ, you just send those snotty kudos developers my way and I'll open a can of whoopass on them, in my over-warm, randomly illuminated house with my painfully throbbing Shane MacGown teeth! Grrrr!!!

Ewwwwww ...... and yes, I am a Pogues fan back in the day when Shane couldn't even stand on stage he was so pissed.

Kodu is this and this. And a video walkthrough here.
My issue with Kodu is that it could have been even more fun than Scratch, if it had only been open to more platforms. Shortsightedness? Politics? MS? Meh. It's only $5 on Xbox but since I don't have an Xbox .... And the kids really like the look of it too.
