Hi everyone,
I was hoping to start a list of games that you can play on various Macbooks.
Below is the specs for my Macbook and games that Ive played or attempted to play and the results Ive gotten. Feel free to add to the list for your macbook, just make sure you include you system specs. Please lets keep this thread just to gaming exclusive to the MACBOOK
*NOTE* All the games Ive used below are with lowest graphic settings
Macbook White
2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Integrated Intel Graphics - GMA X3100
120 GB Memory
Counterstrike 1.6: *GOOD*
Run on Windows XP Professional using Bootcamp. Runs well, getting an average of 50+ fps. I get occasional lag spikes every 30-40 seconds but then gameplay resumes back to normal (troubleshooting reveals that it might be a bootcamp issue)

World of Warcraft: *PLAYABLE*
Ran on my mac partition. In starting areas and non-demanding world environments WoW works okay. Running around in the world with not much going on (ie. fighting monsters at Ungoro Crater) I get around 25-30 fps. It sounds bad but if you really like to play, you can play with 25 fps. The catch is that going into big cities is rough. In Stormwind when its busy I get around 10 - 15 fps if Im lucky. I dont even go into Dalaran because sometimes I get disconnected because of the bad frame rates and then cant log back in for awhile until the city quiets down a bit, so I try to avoid going to Dalaran.
Overall WoW is playable. You can make characters and level them no problem. You can do the low level instances and some higher level ones too. The catch is you wont be able to experience any end game raids or dungeons. I tried Naxx and almost lagged out. I got around 5-10 fps. So I stuck to battlegrounds mostly and doing dailies which is fine. In battlegrounds you can get around 20-25 fps depending on which BG you do.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory: *GOOD*
So Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is a free WWII first person shooter. It is supported on Linux, Windows, and... MAC! Unfortunately the game doesnt work for intel macs (I think there are semi-complicated solutions to get it to work on the Mac side). So I downloaded and installed the game for my windows partition. Overall a super fun game that runs surprisingly well on my Macbook. I get around 40 fps (estimate). Unfortunately it will lag occasionally (not sure if its because my bootcamp or because its too demanding for the system) but thats easily ignored because the game costs no money! I urge you to try it out atleast!

You're frames in WoW would improve if you had 2-4gb memory 1gb memory is a joke buddy and upgrading it doesn't cost much so i recommend that.

A lag spike of 30 - 40 does not matter that much. Also, games that are old enough do not need a dedicated GPU anymore, as you have proved that.

I meant it has a spike every 30 seconds from a ping of 99 to a ping of 350+ so it does matter quite a bit lol. It only seems to happen when I play using wireless, when I hook up with ethernet its completely fine.
And ya I know 1GB isnt anything, I just dont have the money to upgrade right now... students are poor

I have the same MacBook as you 5TeN, except it has 4 GB RAM
WoW - I find performance is just fine for what I do, which isn't high level raiding. Even with tons of people running around Ogrimar I get 15+FPS. My settings are pretty low, but not the lowest.
RTCW - runs great
Command and Conquer 3 - at low quality it plays well.
Doom 3 - runs surprisingly well.
I had a Macbook with the 950, and the 3100 is a huge step up. I also have a Mini with the GeForce 9400 in it, and that is a huge improvement over the 3100.

My Macbook with the 9400M does great job handling most of my gaming needs. It ran WoW really smoothly in native resolution and a fair share of added flair, although I didn't find the game for my liking. *shrug* Most of the recent games I've been playing run extremely well in normal to high settings: Tomb Raider Anniversary, Fable, Black & White 2, Pirates!, Penumbra, Flatout 2, Domination, Sims 3... to name a few. It may be an integrated graphics chip, but it beats the hell out of my old PB's dedicated one.
Yes, I've been very pleased with the replacement for my old 12" PB that gave up its ghost last Fall; just in time, too, with the new Macbook release a few weeks prior. I can't justify a purchase of a top tier Pro, and I prefer laptops as computers of choice these days, so it really worked out well for me.

Hey guys thanks for your additions
.
If I could ask a favor though. Could you format it a little more to the style I have mine? Just so its easy for people to know if its good to play or not and also post the type of macbook and all specs. That would be awesome! So if you could edit your posts and then re-format em that would be great.

As a signal for information carrying, wireless is (supposedly) kind of crappy compared to an ethernet cable.
Better yet, use an optical fibre cable instead.
