Mozilla WaMCom update for MacOS 9: Classilla Mac OS 9 browser support being updated
#2

Hello,-
If anyone's interested, the main guy updating WaMcoM to Classilla is Cameron Kaiser.
The threads relating to testing and feed back of Classilla is on the Mac OS 9 LEM Google groups boards here .
I'll try this browser out pretty soon with a fresh install of Mac OS 9.2.2, so my input will be coming soon!
FWIW, I already voted on this poll and you already know I love Mac OS 9, so the poll doesn't matter I just did that on a whim, but at least others can google this and find out more. (I changed the poll choices, etc. so my vote didn't count) Oh well, it doesn't matter.
I'm glad at least someone out there like Cameron Kaiser cares about Mac OS 9 and below. There's a lot of us out there that love it and use it for our investment in legacy software and the sheer joy of using and legendary Mac OS so simple and fun!
Again, remember: use it at your own risk and take precautions, provide some feedback to the coder and enjoy!
This is a labor of love.
Enjoy!

Oh nice! This will be a nice addition to my OS9-only UMAX S900.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

good that OS 9 is getting a new browser, but I won't be using it. As your poll succinctly put, I gave that up years ago.

Hmmm, agree. I would have used it to play Sim City 3000 but the OS 9 disc was lost.

The only thing I use OS9 for is to run Forge, Anvil and the myriad Marathon utilities.

Your poll questions are a bit flawed...the second one needs an option that says "No. I do have a Mac that can run Classic, but I see no point in using this."

If you're running Classic for anything, you probably don't want to use Classilla. But then again someone may try it out anyway. If you're booted into Mac OS 9 that's another story. "Flawed" heck no! If it's not your bag find another one.
Leave Mac OS 9 to the Mac OS 9 users; We'll take care of the rest.
