Hi Everyone,

I have a MacPro (early 2008) and I need some advice on how best to configure my hard drives.

I have the following 5 internal drives that I can use:

WD 640GB Caviar Black x 2
WD 320GB AAJS x 1
WD 320GB KS x 1
WD 150GB ADFD (Raptor) x 1

What I woud like to know is what would be the best way to use these drives for the following:

1. Running OS X
2. Running Windows XP
3. Running Windows Vista
4. Backing up Mac and Windows OS

Please note that Windows being used only for gaming so speed is an issued here.

Any advice would really be appreciated - Thank you.

Which Windows will you use for gaming? since that would be the best one for the Raptor, then (though it wont really make much of a difference.
After that I'd personally use one 640GB drive for OSX, a 320GB drive for the other Windows and then the final 640GB drive for your backups.
Polytetrafluoroethylene to my friends.

Macbook Pro - C2D 2.4Ghz / 4Gb RAM / WD Scorpio Black 320GB ( 255GB OSX v 42GB XP ) / Geforce 8600M GT 256Mb / 15.4"
Cube - G4 1.7Ghz 7448 / 1.5Gb RAM / Samsung Spinpoint 250GB / Geforce 6200 256Mb

We won! Apple offer the 17" with a matte screen! Well... at a price...

Not too sure?
XP has been pretty reliable so far but I now have a copy of Vista to try so I thought maybe I could partition a 640GB drive and and put the 2 O/S's on that?
