I had one of those movie review shows playing in the background on TV today and during an interview with
Thomas Haden Church he mentioned that one his next projects was going to involve a new Pixar film based
on the Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars book series. Hadn't heard anything about this before.
It looks like it will be a 2012 release.

And that's a relief I think, I would really be a lot less interested if it were an animated feature.

It is Pixar making that movie. See here.
Scrap that. The info is pretty jumbled. It seem that Pixar people are involved (seemingly more than just Andrew Stanton), but it's not an actual Pixar movie.
