KOTOR and Widescreen

I've managed to complete step 1, where you get the resolution. I'm running the game at 1680x1050 already(Intel Only in 1.03d) but there are some alignment problems with the hud and background screens. I'm trying to find where the hud is in the program(since its hard coded) as per step 2 but have looked using HexEdit and have been unable to fine a part similar enough to match. Can anyone help?
I also can't find step 3 but its largely superficial since it is only for movies. Still any help would be appreciated.

The Mac version is sufficiently different in the handling of resolutions that you won't be able to HexEdit in hardcoded values. But what is amazing to see is that someone has created new UI .lay files for widescreen resolutions, which was the main factor preventing us from adding that support in originally. If we patch KOTOR for the Mac again, I'll definitely revisit this to see if I can enable these 16:9 resolutions so we can have non-stretched rendering.

Now it has been shown to be possible it would be nice if Aspyr would just added official widescreen support to the Mac release with a patch. Without Brad there to champion it I have my doubts however.
I'm guessing the PC release in Wine would work with the hack at widescreengamingforum.

I think Aspyr is happy taking $20 for their 7 year old port as is.
The WINE port is def the way to go IMO.

But I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect Aspyr to add wide-screen support in a seven year port of an Xbox game.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

The App Store officially sucks and I am never using it.

While I'm not mod/hack crazy I do like to install expansions & modifications where it's beneficial. Is this part of the reason why with Rome Total War games on Game Ranger the hosts are specifying App Store or DVD only ?
